COMPAGNIA CORRADO D'ELIA is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed theatre companies in Italy.
It is the synthesis and new development of the Compagnia Teatro Libero / Teatri Possibili, founded by director and actor Corrado d'Elia in 1996.
The Company's production has always been appreciated for its originality and the ability to attract the attention of both the audience and critics, winning several awards over the years.
The artistic core of the Company has changed with time, but is composed by a group of artists, cultural workers and members of civil society who work with Corrado d'Elia, who acts as leader and coordinator of all artistic and organizational activities.
The common goal is the promotion and development of theatre and culture through the production of shows and the development of languages and projects that can dialogue with the present and with the different forms of art, communication and image.
In addition to an intense activity on tour during the theatrical season throughout the national territory, the Company works in residence at Manifatture Teatrali Milanesi - Teatro Litta in Milan. It was the founder and the main Company working at Milan's Teatro Libero for the
past 18 years, until December 2015.
Both Corrado d'Elia and the Company are members of INIT – International Network of Italian Theatre.
