Following the completion of the TH!NK4 Climate Change competition, we are proud to introduce an appropriate offshoot of the topic with this rounds TH!NK5 Water competition. Journalists, students and bloggers are invited to use the competition’s online platform to share their thoughts on water and everything surrounding it, as World Water Day (22 March 2011) approaches.
PRIZE: Reporting trip to Portugal (April 2011)
The European Commission sponsors 20 winners to participate in a water themed reporting trip to Lisbon, in April 2011. Nationals of the following countries are eligible for this prize:
EU27 member states, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Iceland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo.
The European Journalism Centre will sponsor 4 additional winners from all other countries not mentioned above for the reporting trip to Lisbon, in April 2011.
Sign up by registering and submitting one blog post to the platform. Registration will enable you to join the competition and your post will be submitted as your first entry. Once registered you will receive a login and full access to blog on World Water Day and other water related issues.
The TH!NK5 contest starts on 17 January 2011 and ends on 22 March 2011.
TH!NK ABOUT IT
TH!NK ABOUT IT is a series of blogging competitions organised by the European Journalism Centre. The competitions are aimed at professional and aspiring journalists and new media creators from a diverse range of backgrounds. TH!NK aims to provide an online platform for coverage of a timely topic, establishing an international community of bloggers in the process. The first TH!NK edition in 2009 concentrated on the European parliamentary elections, with subsequent editions focusing on global topics such as climate change and global development.
