Serving as a liaison between city governments and the business community, the Agency works closely with municipal and district governments to provide assistance in:

• the preparation and implementation of projects for economic development;
  
• the development of strategies for local and regional development
  
• the development of the District Plan for Regional Development and the Plan for Development of the South Central Region;
  
• the presentation and promotion of the opportunities offered by the municipalities and the region at national and international forums;
  
• training for municipal and district government officers;
  
• building agencies or centres for municipal development – as a result of the accumulated experience and its increased capacity REDA has been sought and invited as a partner and consultant for the institutional development of agencies and centres (Dimovo, Dolna Mitropolia, Nikopol, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo). Since the beginning of 2002 the Agency has established 3 subsidiary Centres for Entrepreneurship Development in the nearby towns of Galabovo, Radnevo and Chirpan.
