The main activities of Stara Zagora REDA include:

• Surveys and analyses of Stara Zagora regional economy, design and implementation of strategies for economic development;
  
• Developing and implementing projects to solve significant social issues by mobilizing local resources and attracting outside resources;
  
• Providing office, information and advisory services to SMEs, local government and government institutions, NGOs; assistance in establishing business contacts and finding financing opportunities;
  
• Organizing various types of training and re-training to meet the requirements of the economy in process of re-structuring and development;
  
• Organizing meetings, exhibitions and fairs to promote the local business and providing assistance for participation in trade exhibitions and business forums in the country and abroad
